Abstract

By metal-catalyzed reactions with diazoacetates, the easily available chiral enol ethers 2a and 2b gave cyclopropanecarboxylates 3a and 3b. The stereochemical outcome of the reactions varies with the use of different chiral and non-chiral catalysts. Comparison to the reactions with achiral enol ethers is given to prove the directing influence of the chiral auxiliaries.
