Abstract
We report, regio and stereoselective addition of N-heterocycles on internal alkynes through C(sp2)-N(sp3) bond formation. We have synthesized a series of 1H-indole, 1H-benzimidazole and tetrahydroquinolines (THQ) functionalized Maleate, Fumarate and Acrylate derivatives through N- alkenylation reactions. We have demonstrated the selective formation of E- Isomers. Further substrate dependent formation of E and Z isomers are also observed.
