Abstract
THE OUTCROPS OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF STELMUŽĖ / STEINENSEE MANOR: THE BOOKS AND BOOKMARKS OF THE MANOR Based on a new fact about books from Stelmužė Manor gifted to Vytautas Magnus University in 1937, research was conducted to verify factual information regarding the number and the nature of the books gifted, to clarify the situation of the survival of the books to the present day, to identify their current storage locations, and to analyse the information in the provenance marks of the books, which speaks of von Foelckersahmbs, the owners of Stelmužė (Steinensee / Stelles muiža), and the fate of the manor that changed after the demarcation of the Lithuanian-Latvian border in 1921 and after the land reform. The list of the gifted books in the appendix is intended to reveal one of the fragments of the multifaceted multicultural heritage of Stelmužė Manor(s).
