Abstract

Introduction: One of the hypothesised mechanisms of sudden cardiac death is an arrhythmia precipitated by increased sympathetic outflow to a compromised heart. The stellate ganglia provide sympathetic innervation to the heart and play a role in arrhythmogenesis.
