Abstract
AbstractDespite incessant time demands, today's leaders must take time for self‐reflection and careful thought about the future of their life and that of their organization. Baldoni presents this thinking as a “combination of assessment, diagnosis, reflection, and prioritization.” Leaders can aid self‐development through such areas as taking a sabbatical and rethinking roles and responsibilities. It is not necessary to abandon the traits that have led to success. But Baldoni believes that “the challenge becomes finding ways to channel that energy in new and direct ways, so that you lead more appropriately and effectively.”
