Abstract

Part II of this three-part paper focuses on injection Steam-Cycle Efficiency. Part I relates to Steam Rates and Part III analyzes Steam ReGenerated Heat (RGH). The following cycle-efficiency analysis is based on the same approach used for large-utility steam turbines where one pound of throttle steam is passed through the steam turbine, and where enthalpy points are determined along the steam path. Accurate analysis of heat input, partial pressure expansion and heat-rejection steam enthalpy points are computed with steam-table software.
