Abstract
A previously developed analytical transport parameter formalism for hydrogen transport is extended to include both intrinsic and synergistic isotope effects. Example calculations concentrate on the synergistic effects and show that a) competition for traps is normally a small effect, and b) cross isotope recombination at the surfaces leads to an increase in recycling while reducing both inventory and permeation for each of the participants.
