Abstract
Abstract A system with one degree of freedom in the form of a parallelogram linkage with friction-affected constraints is considered. Position-, velocity-, and acceleration-dependent kinetic friction is studied as a source of nonlinear effects. Steady-state and irregular motions of the system under different kinds of harmonic excitation (by force, moment, and motion) and the influence of gravity and zero-gravity environments are investigated.
