Abstract

Gail Baker, Ph.D., didn't plan to work in academic leadership. “I fell into academia after having a short career in public relations in Chicago,” Baker said. That stint in public relations led eventually to a role as the first Vice President of Public Relations for the University of Florida before she became the Provost for the University of San Diego.
