Abstract

The long pulse operation of the Tore Supra tokamak, with 4 min pulses obtained in 2002, has required improvements of the data acquisition and retrieval systems. Physicists need to have pressure trends between pulses, accurate calorimetric accounting, and continuous diagnostic monitoring. So, new functionalities have been added to our DAS to acquire, store, and access continuous values 24 h a day, 365 days a year. This paper reports the current status of the system and presents an overview of the solutions we used to implement these upgrades.
