Abstract

The members of the Mississippi Valley Committee are: Morris L. Cooke, of Philadelphia, chairman; Professor Harlan H. Barrows, of the University of Chicago; Herbert S. Crocker, of Denver; Dean Henry S. Graves, of Yale University; the Chief of Engineers, General Edward M. Markam, who is represented on the Committee during his absence by Colonel Glen E. Edgerton; Charles H. Paul, of Dayton; Dr. Harlow S. Person, of New York City; and Professor Sherman M. Woodward, of the University of Iowa. The Committee meets in Washington every second or third week and acts as a consulting board to the Administrator of Public Works on projects and problems relating to the Mississippi River Valley.
