Status of study of rainfall, runoff, and related factors by the Mississippi Valley Committee of the Public Works Administration in collaboration with the United States Geological Survey

Abstract

The members of the Mississippi Valley Committee are: Morris L. Cooke, of Philadelphia, chairman; Professor Harlan H. Barrows, of the University of Chicago; Herbert S. Crocker, of Denver; Dean Henry S. Graves, of Yale University; the Chief of Engineers, General Edward M. Markam, who is represented on the Committee during his absence by Colonel Glen E. Edgerton; Charles H. Paul, of Dayton; Dr. Harlow S. Person, of New York City; and Professor Sherman M. Woodward, of the University of Iowa. The Committee meets in Washington every second or third week and acts as a consulting board to the Administrator of Public Works on projects and problems relating to the Mississippi River Valley.
