Abstract

This research aims to find out how the nutrition status and physical fitness level of Bina Mandiri male volleyball athletes in Balukang II Village. This type of research was a descriptive quantitative survey method. This research was conducted on 10 - 11 May 2022 in Balukang II Village, Sojol Sub-District, Donggala District, Central Sulawesi. The population of this research totaled 13 male volleyball athletes and used as the sample of this research. The research instrument for nutrition status was BMI (body mass index) which measures height (Cm) and weight (Kg) using a meter and weight scales while the research instrument for physical fitness used the Indonesian Physical Fitness Level (TKJI) test which there were 5 tests used include: running at 60 meters, pull-ups at 60 seconds, sit-ups at 60 seconds, vertical jump, and running at 1200 meters by using tools and facilities, namely: stopwatch, meter, spray paint, whistle, and stationery. Based on the results of the research, it is shown that in nutrition status, there are, 69.23% (9 people) have a thin nutrition status, 23.07% (3 people) have a normal nutrition status, and 7.69% (1 person) have a fat nutrition status. It means that the nutrition status of Bina Mandiri male volleyball athletes in Balukang II village is mostly thin. As for the level of physical fitness, it is found that 61.53% (8 people) have a good level of physical fitness, 30.76% (4 people) have a normal level of physical fitness, and 7.69% (1 person) have a low level of physical fitness. It means that the physical fitness level of Bina Mandiri male volleyball athletes in Balukang II village is mostly good
