Abstract
Statistics variations of the quality of astronomical images at several observatories and at particular telescopes are studied. The sets of data correspond to a log-normal distribution of Fried parameter r0 and of FWHM. First and second moments of this law are image quality criterions of astronomical sites. Measurements of the seeing fluctuations during 20 min have been performed at the Pic du Midi Observatory. The r0 distribution is log-normal. The mean value (r0) and the variance sigma 2 are related by a law sigma =k(r0)1.6.
