Abstract

In addition to the results of our previous paper (Julanov et al., 1984), referred hereafter to as (I), new results are presented concerning the determination of true particle concentration from measurements made with photoelectric aerosol counters. Among them are: (1) the probability of having m readings for N particles crossing the sensing volume of the counter, (2) the probability of the registration of g particles by a single pulse and (3) the total number of counter readings as a function of the value of the counter threshold.
