Abstract

This paper presents an algorithm for estimating the variance in simulated electromagnetic fields arising from uncertainties in electrical parameters in a model. The proposed algorithm is shown to be faster and more accurate than the stochastic finite difference time domain method. The main advantage of the algorithm lies in how does not slow down the main simulation of electromagnetic fields, since it is only performed on demand after the main simulation is completed.
