Abstract

The authors’ aims is to evaluate the reuse of microcells in a test method for sulfur in diesel fuel and gasoline–ethanol blends by monochromatic wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry. An experimental procedure has been developed for cleaning and reassembling the used cells. Results derived from new cells were compared with those from after the first washing and after the second washing cells. Based on paired t-test, no statistical differences were observed between the data sets, validating the proposed procedure, besides that the recycled cells overcome the commercial ones in term of cost.
