Abstract

The process of evaporation of liquid droplets is described by the nonequilibrium statistical operator method. A microscopic expression for the evaporation coefficient is derived; it considers the influence of several factors (presence of ions, external fields, ultraviolet irradiation, etc.) on the evaporation process. Algorithms for determining the steady-state evaporation rate under various conditions are found.
