Abstract
A series of two-color double-jersey jacquard fabrics were made under different conditions: namely, with two levels of yarn input tension, two levels of take-down tension, two levels of dial height, and five levels of stitch-cam setting. Measure ments of the dimensions of one design repeat, and the length of yarn in the design repeat indicates that jacquard weft-knit fabrics are geometrically determined, with the run-in of yarn having a controlling influence on the fabric dimensions.
