Abstract

This paper focuses on the quantum mechanical dynamics of a massive and spinless relativistic particle in space–time generated by a rotating cosmic string. The equations of motion are found by the use of the Feshbach–Villars formulation of the Klein–Gordon equation. The wave functions and related energies have been deduced. Subsequently, the partition function was approached with the help of the representation of the Zeta function. Through this function, thermal properties are reported. The behavior of these properties in relation to the physical parameters of the model such as rotation, curvature and quantum numbers was investigated. Moreover, the impact of the topological defect on the quantum system under investigation is discussed.
