Abstract

The method of statistical imitation simulation (SIS) is applied to analyze the characteristics of the electromagnetic field produced by a random aperture antenna (RAA) excited by a harmonic signal with a preassigned distribution of amplitude and phase errors. In the study, SIS models of the orthogonal and quadrature components of the RAA field intensity vector and its scalar E are considered. As the conditions for the applicability of the central limit theorem of the probability theory are fulfilled, these models approach standard models (the normal law, the Rayleigh and Rice laws, the distribution of the scalar of a multidimensional vector with normal components).
