Abstract

Using a passive experiment, wastewaters from a micro-electronics industry were subjected to experimental evaluation and models for effluent quality prediction were generated. The parameters total solids (TS 105) and concentration of Cr(VI) were used as dependent variables. Taking into account both system and experiment particularities, a detailed statistical procedure for model formulation, calibration and verification has been applied. Although the equations thus obtained are specific for the studied system, the procedure used for their development could be considered as applicable for chemometrics purposes.
