Abstract

In this paper, a statistical method to improve the performance of the signal processor based on the bi-stable a-periodic stochastic resonance (ASR) is proposed. Before this, the ASR signal processor, that can be used to detect the base-band binary pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) signal transmitting over an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel, is investigated. We then give our method to recover the binary PAM signal from the recovered waveform from bi-stable stochastic resonance system. The experiment is performed and the results show that our method can improve the performance of ASR signal processor greatly
