Abstract

In this paper 48 common events of the hard X-ray bursts and interplanetary proton events are analysed statistically. These data are, respectively, from the observations of SMM/HXRBS and GOES satellite. It is found that there are good linear correlations between the logarithmic values of duration Td(s),peak rate Fx(c/s)and total counts c of hard X-ray(HXR) bursts in 25-438 keV and the values of the corrected integral flux Fp(10 MeV)of interplanetary proton events.Among these correlations, the linear correlation of log Fp and log C is the best.It is log Fp(10MeV)=-0.604+0.538log C,its correlation coefficient r=0.70.The relative standard error is 0.28.The precision of the integral flux prediction of proton events and their confidence interval are discussed.
