Abstract

Cross-correlation and canonical correlation techniques are applied to investigate the nature of immediate and lagged terminal responses of a retreating glacier (the Nisqually Glacier) to local climatic anomalies. Both types of response are evident in the resulting analysis. It is concluded that dynamic continuity is evidently present in the retreating glacier.
