Abstract

This work presents the data concerning a new method of laser polarimetry--Fourier transformation of biological tissues laser images. The description of the principles and methods of Fourier polarimetry in a frequency plane is provided. The optical model of polycrystalline networks of small intestine wall is suggested. The results of investigating the interrelation between the values of statistical (statistical moments of the 1st---4th order) and correlation (cross-correlation moments of the 1st---4th orders of autocorrelation function) parameters are presented. They characterize the coordinate distributions of Fourier transforms intensity of polarizationally filtered laser images of human small intestine wall and pathological changes in it. The diagnostic criteria of inflammation process in human small intestine wall and its severity degree differentiation are determined.
