Abstract

Abstract A hierarchy of equations based on the hydrodynamical analogy of quantum mechanics provides in one-dimensional stationary scattering a way to calculate the wave function and the associated quantities (phase shift, the dwell time, transmittance, etc.) in a virtually exact fashion by running a single representative trajectory. The physical meaning of the trajectory and of the trajectory time is discussed.
