Abstract

In order to improve the steady-state and transient performances of PWM rectifiers under unbalanced grid voltages, instantaneous power behaviors in two-phase stationary frame are firstly analyzed. A deadbeat power control scheme under unbalanced grid voltages is then proposed. To improve the performance of the controller, the impact of time delay is considered, and detailed compensation method is adopted. Moreover, experimental validations are conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. Results demonstrate that, with the proposed strategy adopted, rapid dynamic responses and excellent steady-state performances can be expected. Besides, rotational transformation, positive and negative sequence decomposition and phase-locked loop (PLL) strategy are successfully eliminated, resulting in a simplified calculation process.
