Abstract

This paper addresses the problem of plane stationary currents generated in an ideal incompressible fluid by an infinite array of identical areas of constant vorticity located near a linear boundary. Eddy shapes are constructed analytically and numerically for diverse vortical areas and ranges off the boundary. The limits of applicability of the asymptotic solution derived are given. The results are matched within situ observations.
