Abstract

Statins are often used for primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular events. Multiple studies have demonstrated a significant reduction in perioperative complications after carotid endarterectomy for patients taking statins. However, data for statin use for patients undergoing transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) are limited. We evaluated the effects of statin use on the postoperative outcomes after TCAR.
