Abstract
A recently proposed statistical approach to the permittivity ε of water in the high electric field E (I. Danielewicz-Ferchmin, A.R. Ferchmin. Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 6, 1332 (2004)) has been applied to water at T = 293 K subjected to external pressure. Results are shown in the form of the set of isobars ε(E), which reveal abrupt falls at E∼109 V m−1.
