Abstract

The precast floating slab has a great advantage over the conventional floating slab in construction. However, the different structural form will affect the mechanical characteristics. The precast floating slab is experimented with in the static load test. Then, the static strength and displacement characteristics are statistically analyzed by the related standards and the structural damage situation is systematically concluded to provide a reference for developing methods to optimize the mechanical properties. Results show that the displacement of the precast floating short slab meets the actual requirements. The damage situation of precast slab has some primary rules: (1) the concrete cracks occur in the four corners firstly, then in the middle of the slab and, finally. near the fasteners; and (2). the growth rate of the crack width is slow at first and then faster and faster, subsequently.
