Abstract
Magnetic moments, electric quadrupole moments and isotope shifts of elements close to Z=50 and Z=82 are discussed. Single particle character and coupling rules are valid. Parabolic slope of the charge radii at Z=50 is discussed. At Z=82 intruder states dominate the charge radii.
