Abstract

Static and dynamic spin correlations in Cd 0.35Mn 0.65Te were studied by neutron scattering and by computer simulation. We show that it is possible to determine the exchange constant for the nearest neighbors ( J NN) on the basis of inelastic neutron scattering data, and for the next-nearest neighbors ( J NNN) by measuring the anisotropy of the range of static correlations.
