Abstract

This paper considers a general sampled-data control problem with band limited continuous-time exogenous inputs. New results on the construction of H ∞ controllers are presented using the chain scattering-matrix formalism. This results in a relatively simple method in transfer function domain. A generator for H ∞ controllers is obtained by solving two coprime factorizations which are required to solve a continuous-time and a discrete-time algebraic Riccati equations in state space.
