Abstract
As states grapple with the issue of whether their mental health service systems are equipped to handle the continued surge in demand, those that have ranked at or near the bottom nationally in access to care face a particularly daunting task. One such state is Colorado, which will be closely watched in 2022 as it prepares to reframe its state‐level governance in behavioral health.
