Abstract

1. The level of LH and FSH in the blood of male rats did not change during the development of experimental diabetes; the concentration of T decreased. 2. The sensitivity of the hypophysis to LH-RH in rats that have received STZ declined sharply when it was incubated for more than 1 h. 3. A decrease in the concentration of the nuclear T receptors in the adenohypophysis was observed during the development of experimental diabetes. 4. The alterations in the concentration of hormones in the blood and in the level of androgen receptors in the hypophysis of rats receiving STZ were restored through insulin replacement therapy.
