Abstract

In this paper, the state observation problem of a class of semilinear hyperbolic systems is considered. It is shown that the initial state of the system can be uniquely determined from its measurable boundary data, and then an effective algorithm is presented, which gives the approximate solutions of this problem by solving a series of finite dimensional nonlinear programming problems.
