Abstract

This paper investigates the stabilisation problem of a class linear uncertain networked control systems (NCSs) with a guaranteed cost. The class of uncertain networked control systems under consideration consists of a class of linear uncertain systems with sensors connect to a controller via a communication network. The contribution of this paper is to propose a novel methodology for designing a state feedback guaranteed cost controller that guarantees not only the closed loop stability, but also certain cost function in spite of data packet dropout and modelling uncertainty. The existence of a state feedback guaranteed cost controller is given in terms of the solvability of bilinear matrix inequalities (BMIs). Numerical examples are used to illustrate the validity of the design methodology.
