Abstract

The character of game is the subject to play the game and plays a directive role in reflecting the view of world in the game. Realistic display of game character is essential to make the game play absorbing. This study is focused on realistic costume display of RPG game character such as weathering and aging. Classifying the changes in the quality of costume into 7 types, it researches and analyzes the features of costume display in 3 types of career group in specific game (Witcher 3). It is found that display of costume in different career groups varies by unique role of the character, repetitive motion, and the degree of interaction with surroundings. This result can help establish the priorities to consider in costume design of each career group and the efficient production process.
