AbstractInsurance (MIC: 8.2 SIC: 6331 NAIC: 524126)State Auto Financial, through its principal insurance subsidiaries, State Auto Property and Casualty Insurance, Milbank Insurance, Farmers Casualty Insurance and State Auto Insurance, provides personal and commercial insurance. Co.'s principal lines of business include personal and commercial auto, homeowners, commercial multi‐peril, workers' compensation, general liability and fire insurance. As of Dec 31 2004, Co. marketed its products through about 22,500 independent insurance agents associated with 3,250 agencies in 26 states and the District of Columbia. Co.'s products are marketed primarily in the central and eastern U.S., excluding New York, New Jersey and the New England States.
