Co.'s principal lines of business include personal and commercial auto, homeowners, commercial multi‐peril, workers' compensation, general liability and fire insurance. As of Dec 31 2005, Co. marketed its products through about 22,100 independent insurance agents associated with 3,050 agencies in 27 states. Co.'s products are marketed primarily in the central and eastern U.S., excluding New York, New Jersey and the New England States.
