Abstract

The article provides a comparative analysis of the characteristic features of the “state policy” and “legal policy” concepts. As a result of employing a comparative method, previously accumulated knowledge about the state and the legal policy was compared as it is in the process of comparison that the properties of the same-kind phenomena can be best understood. The similarities and differences of phenomena such as the state and legal policy were described, their common features and properties were singled out, and the directions of their interaction and mutual substitution were clarified. As a result of the work carried out, a general idea of the essential values of the studied concepts was developed, and the characteristic features were arranged into a system making it possible to compare them. The main directions of the doctrinal analysis of the state and legal policy were outlined, and their vision was actually proposed as well. In the process of elaborating the work, the role of the state and legal policy in the formation of a modern social constitutional state was defined and its importance in guaranteeing social progress was emphasized. In the context of the general scientific paradigm, this study will contribute to the further theoretical understanding of legal concepts and additional scientific research in the field of general theoretical studies.
