Staritskies — Ukrainian stage reformers: Notes about the personal role in the art’s history

Abstract

Staritskiy family creative activity is presented in the article. They played perhaps the key role in the Ukrainian theatre of the 19th century end — 20th century beginning. Ukrainian national theatre development, profile schools and state theatre organization, an important contribution to the world literal treasury — this is not complete enumeration of the Staritskies heritage. When somebody could find information about Tsarism epoch Ukrainian theatre movement presenter Michael Staritsky in numerous scientific sources, his descendants, who themselves headed Ukrainian national cultural and in particular theatre movement, recently hadn’t even been mentioned anywhere. The author, for example using archive documents, illuminates Ukrainian theatre development conception, purposeful for the Ukrainian theatre rising and its affirmation in the worldwide art.
