Abstract
Modern systems of staple-fibre spinning are discussed and predictions made with regard to the way in which they are likely to develop. The basic principles of rotor-spinning, friction-spinning, air-jet spinning, and the production of wrap-spun yarns by the hollow-spindle technique are considered.
