Abstract
To ensure correct measurements of sound intensity in standing wave fields with particular respect to probe construction influences, a standing wave field performance test would be a useful addendum to a standard addressing instruments for the measurement of intensity. A recent analytical development describing peak-to-peak (P–P) measurements at discrete frequencies within standing waves is employed here to suggest elements of a suitable test procedure.
