Abstract

<italic xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) XS is a low-latency, low-complexity wavelet codec that is promising for Internet Protocol (IP) transport of professional media both on-premises and in the cloud. A combination of standards and specifications, including SMPTE ST 2110-22, ISO/IEC 21122-3, Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) request for comments (RFC) 9134, and Video Services Forum (VSF) TR-08, define the transport of JPEG XS in realtime transport protocol (RTP) over IP.
