Abstract

The SACCom meeting in Long Beach during the symposium was immediately followed the SDECom meeting and was chaired by John Norgard. The committee is comprised of representatives of standards development organizations not part of the IEEE or the EMC Society. SACCom receives reports of the EMC standards activity of these organizations, which are reported by the representatives present at the meeting. The intent is to see if there are similar standards activities in their organizations and if so, is there a way to cooperate or to exchange information so as not to duplicate standards on a particular subject. Further, the SACCom also works with the SDECom in pointing out areas of possible duplication or at least similar projects for further investigation to see if there can be a cooperative effort.
