Abstract

Recommendations of standardized radiographic assessment in clinical and epidemiological studies on patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis. Survey of published studies and results of consensus conferences regarding reproducibility of radiographic assessment and standardization procedures. With the proposed guidelines a standardized and reproducible radiographic assessment of patients with hip and ankle osteoarthritis in clinical and epidemiological studies is possible. The recommended procedures can be supplemented by additional techniques.
