Abstract
The following discussion of the procedures for compiling Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater and the changes that have been made in the 15th edition of the text took place among the members of the Joint Editorial Board (JEB) on May 10, 1979, in Berkeley, Calif. Led by Jon DeBoer, water quality engineer, technical services department, AWWA, and secretary, JEB, the participants were Joseph J. Connors, water quality supervisor for the East Bay Municipal Utility District, Oakland, Calif., and representative for AWWA; Arnold E. Greenberg, assistant chief, laboratory services branch, California Department of Health Services, Berkeley, Calif., and JEB chairman for the 16th edition of Standard Methods, representative for the American Public Health Association (APHA); and David Jenkins, director, sanitary engineering research laboratory and professor of sanitary engineering, University of California, Berkeley, Calif., representative for the Water Pollution Control Federation (WPCF).
