Abstract

Electrode potentials referred to the standard hydrogen electrode (SHE) as reference were derived from polarographic (cyclovoltametric) and potentiometric measurements providing new data for up to forty non-aqueous solvents. Conversion to the SHE was based on the bis(biphenyl)chromium assumption. Comparison with data obtained from the assumption of a negligible liquid junction potential and from solubility studies in connection with the tetraphenylarsonium tetraphenylborate assumption is made.
